Nature Meditations

The Art of Mindfulness

Meditation Sitting Groups

There are two meditation groups and both meet online via Zoom Meeting. There is an hour long evening sit held from 5:30pm – 6:30pm (PT) that starts with a 20 minute talk on a mindfulness concept followed by a guided 40 minute meditation sit. There is a second meditation group that meets in the mornings from 7:30am – 8:15am (PT) with a shortened format of a 10 – 15 minute talk followed by a 30 minute guided meditation. See the schedule for upcoming dates. All are welcome.

This Online Practice Community helps to build support for your meditation through consistency of practice and the support of sitting together with a like-minded community. Each month, we will come together for one week of daily practice that includes a short talk on mindfulness-related themes followed by a guided meditation sit. The community is invited to stay on after the sit to ask questions, talk about what is arising for them and to simply connect in a supportive online forum.

About The Teacher

With a dedication to the natural world and to contemplative practice in nature, I unite my passions for photography and mindfulness through Nature Meditations: The Art of Mindfulness. I have been working and teaching in the fields of conservation photography, wildlife ecology, and mindfulness meditation since 2001. I serve as a program director and teacher for Awake in the Wild, as a meditation retreat manager for Vallecitos Mountain Retreat Center, and as a fully trained mindfulness teacher here at Nature Meditations.
